Philp's "Ode to Eurydice"

He'd made the boast to the heavens
he'd brave the tortures of Hades,
if need be, to win Eurydice back.
So, the gods, ever obliging,
set a snake in Eurydice's path...

Rethabile, I don't know where the "Ode" came from (I'm not used to writing about Greek mythology), but I followed through with the idea and that's what happened.
